Hello, and welcome to Appleton Guitar Service! For my first blog, I wanted to take some time to introduce myself. My name is Jeff, and I have been working on instruments in the Fox Valley for over 40 years. I would love to work on your electric guitar, acoustic guitar, electric bass, ukulele, mandolin, or banjo. In addition to instrument repair, I'm also a working musician and teacher. I've been playing in the area for years with my Blues band, The Swingin' Johnsons and in a duo with my partner, vocalist Erin Krebs. In May 2018, our duo was honored to receive the WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Award for Jazz Artist of the Year. We perform often in the area as a duo and larger groups, so you may have seen us around town. For several years I hosted weekly jams where I had the chance to meet and work with many of the area's musicians. As a teacher, I teach guitar, electric bass, and ukulele. I've been teaching in the area since 1978 to children and adults in many different styles.
